We were laughing about the pair of Facebook live videos that I shot a few weeks ago when we were investigating the beer and music scene in Portland at the White Eagle Cafe and Saloon.
Of course, I never noticed it at the time, but the number of beers I had consumed resulted in my speech being just a tiny bit slurred.
This video, entitled A Scientist Explains What Alcohol Does to Your Brain featuring Neuroscience Ph.D. candidate Shannon Odell adeptly taking the viewer through what’s scientifically happening as she continues to drink is both fascinating as well as funny.
Nicely done, Inverse!
Of course, if you want to see a non-PhD writer in the middle of an investigation where he might have had a little too many beers and uses far less scientific words, you can check out the aforementioned video. (The slur is really noticeable at about the 2:40 point where PART II, much later in the evening, was recorded)
