When self-isolating, in your attempt to flatten the curve and spread of Covid-19, there are a few things you can do.

You can support and order great craft beer from local brewers. (Seriously, if you’re in Ontario, check out this very handy OBDI (Ontario Beer Delivery Index) website to see what local craft beer brewery you can order from for pickup and/or home delivery options)

You can also collaborate with your better half on a parody music video.

The other day, Liz and I took some parody lyrics I had slapped together to the tune of “Stuck in the Middle with You” by Stealers Wheel.

The video tells the short story of two people stuck in self-isolation who are initially scared and slightly annoyed with their predicament, but then come to terms with their new reality and make the best of it.

Beer fans might recognize many of the craft beer cans that appear in this video at about 51 seconds in. (Not to mention the brewery t-shirt I’m wearing in that shot as well as in the dancing shots at the end)

Can you  name them all?

And if you look close, at about 1:50 in the video, you can see the picture in our home bar of the time I got to have a beer with Norm (George Wendt) from Cheers.

If you’re a Monty Python fan, then you might also recognize the message on the chalkboard behind our bar in that same shot. It’s “Always look on the bright side of life!’ which is a leftover message from my 50th birthday party back in May 2019 (which was themed after the Monty Python movie Life of Brian.

Enjoy! And be safe out there!
